Polar Parade

The holiday season begins with Barrhead Light Up & Polar Parade, one of the most festive nights of the year. Main Street comes alive with sparkling floats, music, and holiday lights as the community gathers to welcome winter.

START OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON

This annual event marks the beginning of December celebrations in Barrhead. Families gather downtown to watch the parade, meet neighbours, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. It’s an evening filled with colour, sound, and community spirit.

The Light Up & Polar Parade draws residents and visitors alike, making it an important seasonal tradition. It’s a chance to support local groups, take part in holiday activities, and share in the excitement of the season.

5:00 PM - POLAR PARADE

5:30 - 7:30 PM - Cookie decorating & craft at United Church

5:30 - 7:30 PM - Popcorn at Just Go Travel

5:30 - 7:30 PM - Letters to Santa at Cruizy Smoothies

5:30 - 7:30 PM - Sparkle Shack Tattoos at TD Bank

5:30 - 8:30 PM - Hot Chocolate available at various locations

5:30 - 8:30 PM - Pictures with the Grinch at Culture Shock

6:30 - 8:00 PM - Live Music w/ Hum & Strum

6:00 - 8:00 PM - Hot Dogs by donation (proceeds to Knights Volleyball Club)

6:30 - 8:30 PM - Selfies with Santa by Tim Hortons

6:30 - 8:30 PM - Wagon Rides (pick up at Canada Post)

7:30 PM - Free movie at the Roxy Theatre
