Ehrenholz Farms

At Ehrenholz Farms, we raise beef cattle and spend our days managing pastures and cows.

Join us at Open Farm Days to watch the cows manage our grass for us and learn about the work we do.  Our family-friendly, hands-on experiences will teach you new skills and have you seeing the world from a cow’s-eye view.

You will see demonstrations of an off-site watering system and temporary electric fencing. You will also be able to examine our cattle handling equipment and view an exhibit showing different parts of a cow and how it is cut up into beef.

Activities:

• Learn pasture management strategies, including rotational grazing and weed management
• See how solar power allows for movable watering and fencing options
• Listen to stories from retired farmers
• “Be the cow” as you explore a low-stress cattle handling system

There will be no set schedule of events. Rather, there will be several stations for you to move through, each manned by someone competent to speak to you about what you are seeing.
